Panna National Park News: Probe Report

Panna National Park News

Sensational but realistic reason behind disappearance of Tigers from Panna National Park.

Surprising the Investigation team, a new sensational fact emerged during probe on disappearance of tigers from Panna National Park. A team of forest officials have revealed the fact that most of the tigers in Panna Tiger Reserve died due to injection of inappropriate quantity of tranquilizing vaccination. Many tigers tranquilized when they entered into adjoining villages, to reinstate them to forest area.

After confirmation of zero big cats in Panna Tiger Reserve, act of poaching is held responsible for disappearance of Tigers. But, in a report submitted on 14th July, 2009, by investigation group to Minister of State for Department of Environment and Forests, fact was uncovered that negligence in tranquilization process causes most of tiger death in comparison to act of poaching. It was further revealed in report that most of the tigers disappeared during the period for year 2003 to 2005, tranquilization was a routine practice to reinstate tigers. Investigation team prepared report after studying the remains of tigers, information gathering from local sources & many undisclosed sources.

One can understand, how carelessely tranqualization was done to endangered big cats and blamed poachers as a measure to face-cover. Such government officials are also not more than a poacher, only difference is in intention. Madhya Pradesh State government should must fix accountability on the bases of probe report.
